Shipping & Mailing
We offer shipping and mailing services with FedEx, UPS and United States Postal Service (USPS). Your options include Express (by air) and Ground (by truck) services. Ground transport costs less, but may take longer.
You choose the carrier, the price and the date and time of delivery that meets your needs.
The carriers, except USPS, provide tracking and $100 of shipment value protection with each shipment. Additional shipment value protection can be purchased.
Shipping tips: - We will need the phone number of the person or company you are shipping to.
- We will need to know what you are shipping. We can not ship alcohol, beer or wine. Some other items have restrictions on shipping or shipment value protection.
- We can and often do inspect customer-packed items.
- Anything that can spill or ooze if crushed should be sealed in a plastic bag.
- Damage claims are based on actual, provable value. It is your responsibility to provide proof of value.
- In some cases getting an appraisal for the value of the item may be recommend before shipping.
Boxes & Packing
We have a complete line of boxes and packing supplies from tape to bubble wrap and packing P'nuts. You can purchase your packing supplies here, or – better yet – let us pack it for you.
We professionally custom pack every item for safety and to comply with the specifications for shipment value protection.
We offer in-home packing for fragile items, package pick-up and creative solutions for your packaging challenges.
Packing Tips: - Don't wrap the box in paper. If the paper gets caught in the conveyer belt, it will tear off and your label will be lost. Only the US Postal Service will accept these packages without an extra charge for Special Handling.
- Allow at least two inches of padding between the box and the item, on all six sides.
- Anything that can spill or ooze if crushed should be sealed in a plastic bag.
- If you desire more than $100 of shipment value protection, we will inspect the packaging and insist on repacking or fixing the packaging if it is not up to spec.
- Your package will get rough handling. Fragile stickers and "This way up" arrows will not protect it.
- If your package is not packed well, per the shippers' specifications they will not pay for damages.
- Damage claims are based on actual, provable value – which you have to provide.
